3 Nights of Lights!!

Ryan LOVES the light parade!! This year he decided instead of renting a lighted figure he would build his own! So instead of starting the light parade preparations the 2nd week of November, this year he got to start in October!!! Ryan and Jon built the house of of PVC pipe!  He was soo excited... me not so much :) But in the end his float turned out great and it was worth the extra effort!

We did Spanish Fork on Friday Night! It was fun to have a big cheering section for Ryan and the kids had a ball waving they light up toys my mom brought,
being with there cousins
and of course waiting for Santa to arrive!
Berkley had a great good time too!

Then on Saturday, because we hadn't had enough fun we trekked to Nephi. I never knew Nephi was such a long drive! We had to take every back road known to man because we were afraid of going on the freeway. So getting there took forever!! But Nephi 's Light parade was really organized and fun!

The whole Family ( minus berkley that stayed with Barbara-Thank Goodness!) Rode with Ryan in the parade!! It was more fun riding in the parade than watching I think! Seeing all the kids so excited and waving made me see why Ryan does the light parade! Whitley sat on my lap and Screamed "Merry Christmas!!" the whole parade route- Karden was soo embarrassed that she kept screaming! He kept saying "Whitley! Stop!! you are making everyone look at us!" Ummm Karden if you haven't noticed we are in a parade...people look at you in a parade! But he was humiliated! He is my child for sure! :)

A few nights later we headed to SLC to ZOOLIGHTS!

It may be one of my favorite things.. the Zoo+ Christmas Lights= Pretty darn fun night! We ran into Dena and Chad up there so that made things even more fun! The kids had a ball seeing the animals and the light up displays!

I enjoyed the deep fried smore!

Yup and I ate the whole darn thing without sharing!! It was delightful... and I had the stomach ache to prove it!

Christmas so far this year has been really fun- minus the part of Berkley taking off every ornament off my tree this year 123584361 times! But we love her!  Can't wait to see what the rest of the month brings-

Seriously....

........Could she get any cuter?!?!?!

I highly doubt it!

Fifty is Nifty!!

Whitley had her 50th day of Kindergarten on Friday and for the occasion she got to dress up in 50's clothes
. She loved her little outfit and wore it all day, she was mad when I made her change her clothes
They learned the hand  jive and the stroll in school, got to have root beer floats and did lots of fun counting activities.. So far she is going GREAT in Kindergarten. She has loved all 50 days of school with one exception being the day she got a strike for talking too much and not doing what she was asked! Her teacher says she is dong awesome and is such a good kid. She also says she talks alot and needs to be reminded sometimes that Miss Mellor is in charge!!

That is our Whitley and we love her to pieces! :)

Halloween Wrap-up!!

We had a busy Halloween this year-

We went up and rode the Heber Creeper Pumpkin train this year-.
Lets just say I am so glad I had a coupon and got a great price! The kids had fun but it left a lot to be desired.

We started my some stellar face painting

and then we boarded the train to the pumpkin patch (or so we thought)  The ride was pretty fun,

everyone was having a great time checking out the scenery

and listening to a story about pumpkin pie from a witch!   The train slows down and we are so excited to go pick out our pumpkins when ......the train starts going in reverse! What?  We all are a little confused when we pull back into the station were we started from. Only to be told after getting off the train to pick a pumpkin off the pile in the parking lot!
We just looked at each other and started laughing! really!! But the kids had a fun time with there cousins and we ended the night with dinner at the Train_ so it was a fun night int he end!

Halloween was BUSY!! We had Halloween parades in the morning
and again in the afternoon.
We took my work some donuts and then headed down to Goshen for Truck or Treat!!
It was perfect weather this year so you could actually see there costumes without the heavy coat over it.  We had a spooky grim reaper,
a candy corn witch,
and  the cutest peacock you had ever seen.
Who was even cuter from the back :)

We were completely done trick or treating within a half hour, with a full set of candy!! Short and sweet!!

After trick or treating and the kids we headed back to my moms house for dinner- We had chili, donuts, and zombie virus!!
The kids were a little hesitant to try it and them they loved pretending that they had turned to zombies.

We finally got the sugar crazed kids home and they had to dump all their candy on the table
and pick out there 10 pieces of candy for the Nice witch to come-
They put there candy on the couch and finally crashed from the sugar high and fell asleep- the witch came, took there candy and left them a toy each!! It was a good switch!
The funny thing is- they still have probably 8 pieces of candy left- I love Halloween !!

Pinewood Derby Perfection!!

Since Karden has turned 8 and become a Scout- One of the things Ryan has been looking forward too and I have been dreading Looking forward too as well is the Pinewood Derby!!

Karden decided he wanted his to look like a Wii remote.
So Ryan Cut it out and we made Karden sand and sand and sand his car. He then had to spray paint it and glue on all the buttons.

Ryan had heard that if you put graphite on the wheels it will make the car faster so we had a slight problem when Ryan didn't realize that graphite is a powder instead of a liquid like he thought.... We had a HUGE mess and Karden had to spray paint the wii remote for a second time-

The night of the pinewood derby Karden (and Ryan) was so excited!!!
Each Boy got to race 4 times.
Karden did pretty good in his heats
and everyone was having a ball watching the races!!
Karden loved that he got to race with all his friends!!

Karden got the award of the most original car!! He was SOOOO excited.

I have to admit it wasn't as bad as I had expected!! I am just thankful that Ryan Loves Scouts!! :)

We ended the night with ice cream to celebrate!!

Some of us may have been celebrating how much fun we had, others that it was over!!

Fall, Frightmares, and Freaking out!!!

Fall-

We took off an a little adventure the other night to look at he Fall leaves- We drove up the Nebo Loop and had a great time! The leaves were really pretty and the kids loved it-

We also seen lots of deer just hanging out my the sides of the road.

We got to the top and the kids needed to run! They were getting really wiggly in the backseat! They did a few laps around the parking lot

and we took a few pictures,
we of course had to have a snack
and a potty break
and we found Berkleys New Favorite place!

She thought she was soo cool!! Speaking of Cool it was COLD, that wind was bonechilling. I realized I am not ready for Winter!!

Frightmares-

We also headed up to Lagoon for the day! I had won 4 tickets at my work party in June and they needed to be used.  We rode rides,

watched fun shows
and of course Karden needed his picture taken with all the gross people that were walking around

Because it was Frightmares, The entire park was themed for Halloween. There were lots of spooky decorations
and fun things to do- The kids go to trick or treating,

and meet some fun people!

After riding a few roller coasters I have decided that unfortunately I am not 16 anymore. I was so sore the next day!!  It was funny because Whitley is  a little daredevil like me and Karden is a not a daredevil like Ryan!!  It turned out to  be a really great day!!

Freaking out-

Now Berkley is up and walking she is starting to freak me out!! She pushes her little baby stroller a little TOO fast and a little TOO close to the stairs for moms liking!!  I walked into the kitchen the other day after being upstairs for 2 minutes getting a load of laundry and found her here_

On my kitchen table!! She climbed on the table!!

She is going to be my heart attack- but leave it to her to be my climber- I have lucked out and not had one yet! Man, That third child might be the death of me!! But I love her to pieces!
