Vernal Vacation!!

Over Conference weekend we headed out to Vernal to see our friends Janet and Chris.
The kids were so excited to see there long lost playmates!! They loved to run and play with all the "new" toys!

When your in Vernal it is a must to do the dinosaur museum!! Karden really loved the museum and Whitley, well she acted like she was 2 :) Hence the deathgrip on her hand!
The kids loved digging for Dino bones
and looking at the dinosaur statues.
After the dinosaurs we headed to get lunch and to the park, where we left the kids with the dads and me and Janet hit the town. We went to a few really cute craft stores and a children's clothing store that was so cute but so Expensive. (read: $27.00 for a onesie-YIKES!!) Later we headed to see were Chris works and to check out the vernal temple,
and than dinner at STOCKMANS- again another vernal must- The kids were exhausted and went to bed quickly we got to stay up way to late for us old married people and play cards just like the olden' days when we didn't have kids!! Thanks for the fun weekend Janet and Chris!
We had a great time playing tourist and crashing at your house.

July or October...

If you came to my house in the last little while you wouldn't of known what month it was, so today, being the 1st of October I decided to end the confusion. I thought it would be a good time to put this
and this away-
and get out this
and this!!
Man I'm a slacker!!
But one good thing about today being October 1st is only 16 more days until Disneyland!!

The Greatest Show on Earth!!

On Sunday we decided to be heathens and Skip church to go to the circus. I don't know what it is about the circus but I Love it. We were able to get there early enough to go down to the floor of the arena for the preshow and loved getting our pictures taken with circus preformers
and seeing the elephants up close. When The show finally started Whitley was literally shaking with excitment. She kept saying "Do you see the pony, elephant, clown etc" She also loved waving to all the animals.
Karden loved the human cannonball and when they made the elephant disapear!
I personally loved there "circus outfits" even if I was the only one. Karden told me mom I will only wear the clown hat for 1 picture. He got a little upset when I snapped two.
On the other hand Gavin thought his was the coolest thing ever!!
Karden had a change of heart and now won't take it off!!

I give up, why do kids want to wear something everyplace, except for when you want them too!!

I Pretty Mommy!!

This is what happens when you leave a 2 year old unattended while you get the 5 year old's hair combed for kindergarten.
How can you get mad at a face like this?
Especially when she was so proud of herself, Whitley kept saying "I pretty Mommy, I pretty!".

Yes Whitley, You are very pretty!!

Labor Day in Logan

We decided to getaway for the Labor Day weekend and ended up in Logan. We swam, Swam, and swam some more. It was great to just get away from the laundry, the floors that desperately need to be mopped and the telemarketers who call constantly!!

We ended up doing quite a bit of shopping and the kids got spoiled by grandma Molly again. Whitley is sporting a princess necklace and bracelet. Grandma is a sucker for princesses! :)

We walked around the Willow Park Zoo (Yes, Logan has a zoo,its tiny, but I will take any chance to go to a zoo!!) and had fun looking at the monkeys, bobcat and antelope. The girls had fun posing for pictures on anything they could find.
The little boys favorite part was the huge mud puddle they found. ( Does Mud Call out to little boys? I think it is puts out a sound that only little boys can hear, sorta like a dog whistle!)

The big boys favorite part was...

Not appropriate for the blog, Sorry Jon and Ryan!! I Don't Think we were ever going to get them away from the turtles!

But everyone had a good time feeding the ducks!!

On the way home we stopped at The Hill Air Force Museum.
It was really quite neat. The Planes are huge!! Karden thought he was the "bomb!"
... sorry I know that wasn't very funny!

The kids got to go in a real army Helicopter,
and sit in a jump seat with Grandpa.

I may be biased, but Tom Cruise has nothing on this "top gun!"

By then we were all "tired" and ready to head home.

...Sorry again not funny-

It was a fun weekend!!

Kindergarten Kid!!

Today was the first day of kindergarten-

I lost the battle of the shirts and Karden ended up wearing this..

He had to remember to take his "brag bag"

and backpack(don't ask me why he is holding a weapon)

When I dropped Karden off here..

We (okay maybe just me) loved finding his cubby and coat hook and making a birthday candle for the wall...

We found his seat and that is when he broke my heart...

"Mom, stop taking pictures!! I'm supposed to put stickers on my Kindergarten hat, Are you going to leave yet?!"

So all the way home I did this... (yes, I'm crying)

I am now drinking this...

and watching this...

Come on 11:15!!

Someone tell me this gets easier-Please.

UPDATE:
I just picked Karden up from school. I asked him how do you like school his reply "Its a good kindergarten, rule #1 is to listen, and I'm all sweaty!!"

I'm a slow learner!!!

So last year I posted about NEVER going to Thanksgiving Point on $2.00 Tuesdays again!! Well being the extremely slow learner that I am I went again!!! Yikes!!

My friend Jaycie and I decided to make a day of it and go check things out. I told her about my experience last year and we decided to be there when it opened at 10:00 am. We pulled into the parking lot at 10:04. The dinosaur museum looked liked this...

The far corner you see of the museum is not even the entrance!! The line wraps around the building before going inside.

We decided to skip the museum and check out farm country- We unloaded the kids and looked and the peacocks,
pigs, sheep,
horses, and got a kiss from a goat The kids had fun on the pony ride and playing in the jail.
before we decided we were farmed out!! When we were leaving Farm country the line to get into Farm Country looked like this...

Holy Crap!! Does nobody work!! Or are so cheap that we put ourselves though that?

We were officially "Done" and decided to bag it for a little shopping and lunch!!

Mark my words-Next year if I go I will go on a day and pay full price. ( Yeah- I know you have heard all this before) :)
