{ 7 }

Karden Turned 7 on the tenth of March!! He is no longer a little kid he is starting to look like and act like a boy!
He woke up early and was so excited to be 7! He got to open his presents from mom and dad and Whitley before school.
The fact that he couldn't play his new DS game until after school about killed him! He was super excited to take cupcakes to his class and after school he had his "Friend Party!!"
He decided to go to nickle city and play laser tag!
It was an awesome place for a birthday party. There was probably only about 15 other people in the entire place besides us. That helped alot with my stress level. I didn't want to lose someones elses child! But it was easy to keep track of the boys!! They played games to their hearts content and then they played some more.

and had pizza and pop.

We played laser tag
( and yes the boys ran full speed for the full 15 minute game) When they came out of the room they were all red and hot and sweaty and smelled like little boys. ( ya know that dog smell) It was funny to watch them.
Ryan thought it was fun to hide behind a barricade for the whole time and sniper them. Really Ryan- Whose the adult! :)
After we cooled off with cake and ice cream and presents!!
WOW- He got spoiled!!!!
Then to the dreaded ticket redemption center-
oh how I hate that place- It seems as if they always want the toys that cost 3,000. tickets and they have 120. But after showing them what they could afford they all chose a flute(A heartfelt apologies to the other moms) and some other junk toys!!

It was a great night!! The best part- NO CLEANUP!!! Now that's my kind of party!

Happy Birthday to my favorite 7 year old! Love ya Buddy~~

Another one bites the dust...

.............. okay so make that two!!

Karden lost both of his front teeth in a weeks time. The first on has been loose forever and I have threatened on many occasions that I will pull it out if he doesn't , it was just hanging there and he could move it with his tongue- Gross!
The second one I didn't even know was loose. He was at the neighbors house and his tooth came out and he didn't know what to do so he just put it in his pocket. Luckily it was still there when he remembered the tooth fairy needed to come.

He looks a little like a hillbilly, but still a very cute hillbilly.

Feeling the love!

Valentines day turned out pretty eventful this year.

First project: Operation Valentines box. We (Okay Me) decided we were making a robot. Because I may be a tad sentimental and had a robot valentines box when I was in first grade. So we got to work and it turned out pretty darn cute if you ask me. Karden decided it was TOO cute and that it needed angry eyebrows. ( boys!)

Last night I was also awakened at least every hour by a certain boy telling me he was going to throw up. So the job of bowl holder, throwup cleaner upper and putting back to bed took up my whole night. ( oh yeah the 6 year old was also up all night with the stomach bug) :)

So all day today this is what the two boys did!
What a life if you ask me. Because we all know the manflu is SOOO much worse that when mom is sick.

Karden was so upset when he realized this morning he could not go to school! With big alligator tears he told my how excited he was to go to his valentines party! It broke my heart. So I packed up his box and his valentines for his classmates and took them to school for him. We picked them up after school and he was ecstatic about all the valentines he got!! It was worth it!!

Whitley and I cleaned the house, goofed off,
and went and picked up our Valentines dinner. The boys got soup!! If you are too sick to get out of bed you are definatly too sick to eat pizza. Ha ha!!

The girls also feasted on yummy treats that the neighbors brought!!

I did get these.. Which made the day alot better.

And a valentines card from my cute Dad!!

We decided to give the kids there valentines present and they have been loving dancing to "Just Dance Kids!" I think someone has even forgotten that he is sick!

It really was a low key day but it turned out good. What more can you ask for.

Theres No day....

... Like a Snow Day!!

Today we woke up to 2 feet of snow!! Seriously two feet of snow!!!
We also found out that school was cancelled!!
Karden was a little upset because today was supposed to be the last day of school before Christmas Vacation, and all the fun parties were today. So we had a party of our own...Shoveling the snow!!

After that was done, we got bundled up and headed outside to enjoy the weather. Karden and Whitley had a blast making snow angels,
trying to be moutain climbers by getting all the way to the top of the snow banks.
Whitley also made a princess castle out of a plastic bucket
and karden made a fort for his guys surrounded by a moat of "hot lava" (boys!!)
We of course had to warm up with hot chocolate. The kids went outside again after dinner tonight and after taking 30 minutes to get them dressed they played for a whopping 13 minutes before deciding they were FREEZING. Its no fun for mom to take longer getting kids dressed and undressed then the actually play time. But what do ya do!!

We also decided to make out annual gingerbread house tonight. Let me give you one hint..........FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!!

Ryan and I start to assemble the house and it says after assembling house wait 3 hours before decorating... Who has that kind of time....Especially with a 6 and a 4 year old. So we decide to just use twice the amount of frosting and wait about 3 minutes. ( it had a 3 in it, what could possible go wrong) Well all is fine and the house is looking pretty good, given we are not going to be winning a food network challenge, but hey it is standing up!!

2 minutes later.............

Should of followed direction!! We learned out lesson.

But all in all it was a good day!! Now what am I going to do for the next 2 weeks while the kids are out of school!! I may need a pepsi- a BIG pepsi!!
