One of the things I love about Summer...

Going on Snow Cone runs at 9:45 at night
Having my kids down their whole snowcone in a matter of minutes.
Having a sugar high and deciding this would be a great idea to practice our Jedi Moves!.
Knocking over the nearly gone bright red snow cone, all over the kitchen floor with a really cool spin move!
Spending the remainder of the sugar high cleaning up the floor- and then deciding it is more fun taking pictures of ourself!
Finally falling asleep at 10:50 pm. And knowing we get to sleep past 6:00 am in the morning!!

Whats not to Love- I guess I'll mop in the morning :)

***Seeing Stars***

We ventured up to SLC on Saturday to go to The Clarke Planetarium. It turned out to be really neat. We seen a 3D show on the IMAX screen about Dinosaurs. Karden thought it was so cool and all through the movie he kept whispering, well sort of whispering, that he almost "petted" the dinosaur that time. He was mesmerized.

We also got to "walk" on the moon
and Mars. ( Complete with our own little alien, Gavin, that wanted to be in the picture too.)
We got to play weatherman
and see and learn lots of things about space. Most of them I will probally never need to know. On the way out we spent all our spare change on the kids favorite part
"The black hole" the money would swirl and swirl until it finally fell into the depths of the blackness. The things that entertain kids. It was a fun place to visit.

PS. A big Thank You to whomever left the warm chocolate chip cookies on our front door tonight- they were delightful!!

Kindergarten Bound!!!

Karden is done with preschool!! Sniff, sniff. We had his preschool graduation last night. He had a great preschool teacher, Ms. Alison, that he loved and he learned a lot. All the kids had a small part and he did so good.

After there little program, The kids got to "walk" and all get there moment in the spotlight. He loved this.
Karden didn't really care about the graduation all he was excited about was that there was going to be punch and cookies when it was over.

So I guess he is kindergarten bound, I don't know if I'm ready but He thinks he is. Now if only we can get this kid to like to write. You would think we are pulling out his fingernails to get him to color or write his name- If you have any suggestions I'm open to them. I guess I can't stop time, Karden is growing up!! We are on to the next adventure- Kindergarten here we come!!

Trex Party!!!

Today Ryan along with our family-whom we love very much- replaced our deck in the backyard. It was really ugly and needed repair, so we decided to put trex down, instead of messing with it. There is not much upkeep with trex, no staining twice a year and no slivers!! YEAH!! I also needed a step from my new doors to the backyard. It was quite the little jolt when you stepped down before. Thanks for all your help, Dad, Craig, Jon and Paul!!! We couldn't have done it without you!!! What I am talking about, I didn't help. Ryan couldn't have done it without you.

The finished product-

I love it, love it, love it!!!! Thanks again everyone!

Let' Go Fly a Kite-

On Mothers Day we decided to go to the lake and fly kites. The weather was really nice and if you can believe it there were NO bugs! Yeah!! Whitley loved to fly kites for about 3 minutes before she spotted the chips and then lost all interest. Karden attention span was more like 5 minutes before he spotted the water and spent the remainder of the time throwing rocks in the lake.
We also had a picnic lunch, and Whitley became obsessed with going "potty in the rocks!" Have you tried to teach a little girl that they cannot go potty like her big brother. (A big thank you to Grandma Linda for that one.) I figured out to just hold her up, she thought it was so cool and was almost forcing herself to go. I think she went like 6 times in 1.5 hours!! But at least we went home in dry pants, so all was well.
What a fun way to spend mothers day, surronded by my favorite people!

I must have been sick..

.. Really sick!

I woke up on Thursday with the stomach flu!! It was no fun. This is how I know I was on my deathbed!

Whitley looked like this, and I didn't even care.

Today, now that I am better, she has ponytails so tight her eyes look a little squinted. Thank goodness it was only a 24 hour bug!
